As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. Your responsibilities will include supporting daily living activities, implementing care plans, and supervising junior staff to ensure the wellbeing of our elderly clients. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and possess strong leadership and communication skills.
Duties
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Update and monitor individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Supervise and support junior staff members in their daily duties if needed
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Administer medication and maintain accurate records
Engage residents in social activities that promote mental and emotional wellbeing.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
Experience
Administration of medication
Previous experience in a care home or senior care environment is essential.
Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans is highly desirable.
Proven ability to supervise staff and lead by example in a team setting.
Strong IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and colleagues effectively.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as required.
