We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Carer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist the manager in the day to day running of the Home, and to promote professional, administrative, training and care planning within the Home. To be responsible as a leader of a team of carers under the direction of the manager. To assist the manager to maintain and monitor the health and welfare of service users and to manage the staff group to optimum and efficient effect. To assist the manager in the maintenance of the building to an acceptable standard. To take on the duties of the manager during the managers absence.

To provide quality and concerned care for service users. Ensuring that service users personal, physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs are met. To ensure that the service provide opportunities for service users to exercise choice, independence and participation in the community. To ensure that the personal dignity of each service user is promoted and that their privacy and confidentiality is respected.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To monitor, supervise and assist care assistants and other junior staff and ensuring the maintenance of high quality care standards and recording. To contribute and monitor the development of the implementation of individually planned programmes of care and activities according to each service user's needs. The Safe Handling and administration of medication. Ensure all service users are given all medication as prescribed. To audit, order and receive medication as and when needed in line with CQC and commissioning standards. To liaise with GP's and District Nurse's. To ensure that the Senior Check List is completed daily. To report any problems/changes/complaints concerning the home or service users to the management. To assist the manager in ensuring that new staff undergo induction and are appropriately trained and supervised, and participate in the training and supervision of junior staff. To assist in ensuring that the Home (as far as possible and practicable) complies with CQC Minimum Standards. To undertake any reasonable task related to the provision of care as required by the manager of the Home, from time to time.

Qualifications



Supervisory experience in a residential care setting Strong leadership abilities to guide and support staff Proficient in developing and implementing care plans Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents and families Experience in senior care and familiarity with care home environments Valid driving license is a plus Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.45-12.75 per hour
