We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our care home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising junior staff, implementing care plans, and ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care in a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and changes in condition.
Foster effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
Participate in team meetings to discuss resident care and improve service delivery.
Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
Requirements
Previous experience in a senior care or supervisory role within a care home setting is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with residents and their families compassionately.
Familiarity with developing and maintaining care plans tailored to individual needs.
Proficient IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
