We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to elderly residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with other care staff to implement care plans and support residents in their daily activities. Your leadership skills will be essential in supervising junior staff and fostering a positive environment for both residents and team members.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Implement and monitor individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
Maintain accurate records of residents' health and progress using IT systems.
Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the care home.
Skills
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
Experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home setting is highly desirable.
Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual needs.
Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
Leadership qualities to supervise and mentor junior staff members.
A compassionate approach towards elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and understanding.
