Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will also take on leadership responsibilities, supervising care staff and contributing to the development of personalised care plans. Your ability to communicate effectively and drive positive outcomes for our residents will be essential in this rewarding position.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional personal care to residents, such as bathing, dressing. Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families. Supervise and mentor Care staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain accurate records of residents' health and progress using our digital care planning system. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and external agencies to ensure continuity of care. Assist in the administration of medication as per established protocols. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the care home environment. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and colleagues. A proactive approach with a genuine drive to improve the quality of life for residents. Familiarity with creating and managing care plans is advantageous. Competence in using digital systems for record keeping is preferred. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to elderly individuals.
