Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will also play a vital role in supervising junior staff and assisting with the implementation of care plans. Your leadership skills will be essential in fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Responsibilities



Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support the implementation and monitoring of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Supervise and guide junior staff members, providing training and support as necessary. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices within the care home. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required.

Skills



Previous experience in a care home setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on supervising and mentoring staff. Proficient in developing and implementing care plans that meet individual needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with residents and their families. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation accurately. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary. A compassionate attitude towards elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and understanding at all times.
