Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care within a reputable care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing of our residents. This role offers an opportunity to lead by example, supervise junior staff, and contribute positively to the lives of those in your care. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs.

Duties



Deliver high-quality personal care to residents, respecting their dignity and individual needs Supervise and support junior care staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing personalised care plans in collaboration with residents and their families Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and resident records using IT systems Support residents with daily activities such as mobility, medication management, and personal hygiene Ensure the safety and comfort of residents at all times by adhering to health and safety protocols Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure clear understanding of care requirements

Qualifications



Previous experience in senior care or supervising roles within a care home setting is essential Knowledge of care planning processes and ability to adapt care strategies accordingly Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate team members Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an empathetic approach towards residents Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and documentation purposes Compassionate nature with a commitment to delivering person-centred care that promotes independence and dignity
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.5 per week
