Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, demonstrating leadership and supervisory experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents while ensuring their safety and well-being. We require a part time senior care assistant working 6-12 hours per week. Our shift patterns are 0730-1330 (Morning shift), 1330-1930 (Afternoon shift) or 0730-1930 (Long day).

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and maintain individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members. Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care are met. Foster a positive environment by encouraging social interaction and participation in activities. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their health status. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to address concerns and provide updates on care. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.

Skills

Proven experience in senior care or within a care home environment is essential. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with residents, families, and colleagues. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to care plans. A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to improve the lives of those we care for through quality care.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week
