Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Senior Domiciliary Carers to join our team at Walfinch Care. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional care to our clients, contributing to their well-being and ensuring their person centred outcomes are achieved.

Morning shifts:

7am - 2pm

Afternoon shifts:

4pm - 10pm

or

6pm - 10pm

Alternate weekends are required

Full UK driving license with access to a car for work required

Responsibilities:

Personal Care: Helping clients with their personal hygiene, including bathing, using the toilet and getting dressed.*
Medication: Prompting or administering medications (full training is provided.)*
Meal Preparation: Ensuring clients receive a nutritious and balanced diet.*
Companionship: Whether it's a cup of tea and a chat, or helping a client complete a crossword, time spent providing companionship is essential in maintaining our clients' positive wellbeing.*
Running errands: Many of our clients are unable to access their local community and may require help buying the local paper or collecting medication. All additional mileage is paid.*
Light Household Chores: This could include washing dishes, hoovering and helping clients who have restricted mobility to keep a clean living environment.*
Pet Care: Our clients' furry friends may require some additional attention such as topping up their food and water, or going for a short walk.*

Essential requirements:

Experienced Domiciliary Home Carer Full UK driving license with access to a car for work A genuine passion for improving people's lives Strong communication skills A proactive attitude
