Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the well-being and comfort of individuals in a care home setting. You will be responsible for supervising staff, assisting with care plans, and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and team members. Your ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate leadership will be essential in delivering high-quality senior care.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support junior staff members, ensuring they adhere to care standards and protocols. Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Drive initiatives that promote a positive living environment within the care home. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to IT systems used for care documentation and reporting. Foster a culture of respect, dignity, and compassion among staff and residents alike.

Experience

Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively while promoting teamwork and collaboration. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with residents and their families. Familiarity with creating and managing care plans is advantageous. Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and motivate others within the team are crucial. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to seniors is required.
