Night Senior Care Assistant - 36 Hours - Unpaid 30 Minute Meal Break

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both residents and staff. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising care plans and supporting the overall operations of the care home.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Supervise and guide junior staff members in delivering excellent care to residents. Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of residents' health and progress, ensuring compliance with care standards. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure a supportive environment. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care. Drive initiatives that promote resident engagement and well-being within the care home setting.

Skills

Strong leadership abilities to effectively supervise staff and manage care plans. Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and colleagues. Experience in senior care or a related field is highly desirable. Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance resident quality of life within the care home environment. A compassionate approach towards caring for elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and understanding.
