Key responsibility



Develop and supervise a team of care workers to provide high quality care that is safe, effective and responsive to each service user's needs and preferences. Support each service user to live their life the way that they choose as far as they are able. Respect service users choices and promote their dignity and privacy at all times.

Assisting new starters with shadowing Supporting and monitoring team in community Working with complex care packages Handling on call phone 2 weeks per month Working 2 weekends a month Assessing potential clients for service Reviewing care packages Cover unforeseen absences Working with Quality and Compliance Manager to improve service Monitoring and maintaining medication supplies in clients homes

Essential criteria



S/NVQ L3 or equivalent Experience of care services Skills in care and risk assessments and writing care and support plans Ability to use own initiative and work alone or as part of a team especially in an emergency Good administrative skills and computer literacy Ability to lead and manage a team of care workers and provide appropriate support, guidance and training Ability to maintain clear written records and follow statutory reporting procedures Ability and willingness to follow Care policies, procedures and instructions

Additional requirements



Willingness to work flexibly and to keep knowledge and skills up to date This role will require you to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service formally known as the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Disclosure Full drivers license with no more than 6 points and Class 1 business insurance

Desirable criteria



Experience of supervising the delivery of social care services Previous experience of risk assessment and person centered care and support planning Knowledge of how to recognize abuse and safeguarding procedures
