We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in delivering exceptional care within a residential care home setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a commitment to person-centred care, and a passion for enhancing the lives of older adults.
Key Responsibilities:
Support residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meals, and medication.
Supervise and mentor junior care staff, offering guidance and training.
Develop and implement personalised care plans based on individual needs.
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals.
Promote a respectful and nurturing environment for all residents.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Participate in team meetings to improve care delivery.
Use IT systems for documentation and communication.
Requirements:
Previous experience in senior care or a care home setting.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Level 3 Certificate in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is required.
Experience with care planning and understanding individual needs.
Proficiency in IT systems for record-keeping.
