Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and support the daily living activities of our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.

Responsibilities



Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents in their daily activities, including meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans as required. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Drive residents to appointments or social activities as needed. Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge in elderly care. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience



Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is advantageous. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents when necessary. Experience in developing or following care plans will be beneficial.
