Overview


As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents in a care home setting. Your primary focus will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of seniors, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both residents and staff. You will be responsible for supervising care assistants, implementing care plans, and ensuring that all aspects of care are delivered with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities



Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Supervise and mentor junior care assistants to ensure high standards of care are maintained. Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other staff members to provide updates on health and well-being. Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Drive residents to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to senior care and IT systems used within the facility.

Skills



Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and colleagues. Proven experience in supervising staff within a senior care environment. Strong understanding of senior care principles and practices within a care home setting. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation efficiently. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and promote a positive working atmosphere. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.35 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
