Job Summary
Leighton Rose are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistants to join their team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will be responsible for supervising junior staff, assisting with care plans, and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in maintaining a positive atmosphere within the care home.
Duties
Supervise and support junior care staff in their daily responsibilities.
Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Drive engagement activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation among residents.
Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
Provide emotional support to residents and their families during challenging times.
Qualifications
Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining care records and documentation.
A compassionate approach towards elderly individuals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
Level 3 in Health and social care
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take the initiative when required.
Relevant qualifications in health and social care would be an advantage.
