Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our Clients. The role will operate on a Monday to Friday basis from 09:00 - 17:00. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors in our Day Centre. Your leadership and supervisory skills will be essential in ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented and that our Clients receive the support they need in a safe and nurturing environment.

Duties

Assist and promote our Clients independence with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Supervise junior staff and provide guidance to ensure high standards of care are maintained. Assist in the Development and implementation of individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Communicate effectively with Clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Support Clients to activities / Day Trips as arranged by the Day center, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Maintain accurate records of Client's care and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel. Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care. Administer medication inline with the Day Centre's policy and procedure and as prescribed for the client. Cover the Day to Day running of the Day Centre in the absence of the Manager. Assist in the assessment of potential Clients if Required

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with Clients empathetically. Proven leadership capabilities with experience supervising staff members. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is advantageous. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communication purposes. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to elderly individuals.
