(Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required)

To contribute towards the planning and implementation of comprehensive individual programme(s), which facilitate the development and practice of skills that are necessary to enable service users to live in their preferred living environment.

5. Requirements to carry out Job

Duties/Responsibilities:

The specific duties carers will be expected to carry out are as follows:

Staff Rota . Staff supervisions. Spot Checks. Care Plans / Risk Assessments To facilitate the daily routines of the service user(s) including bathing, dressing, undressing, toileting and personal care and assisting the service user(s) mobility both in their own home and within the community ( When required in an emergency situation ) Participate in the service user(s) individual rehabilitation programme(s) and complete written records as necessary and in accordance with the guidelines provided. In accordance with the individual care programmes, organise service user(s) personal possessions, clothing and other personal effects, making beds, changing bed linen, undertaking laundry and iron as required ( When required in an emergency situation ) To act as Primary Community Senior Care Worker and assist the Registered Care Manager or Deputy and the designated service user, liaising closely with relevant staff regarding individual programme(s) Work as part of a team to enable the service user(s) to enjoy their mealtimes, taking full account of their preferences and dietary requirements ( When required in an emergency situation ) Effectively communicate any problems to the Registered Care Manager or Deputy Manager. Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of service user's homes , maintaining a safe environment for service user and staff ( When required in an emergency situation ) Contribute to the development of high standards of personal care and professional conduct through example ( When required in an emergency situation ) Participate in and contribute to staff training programme(s)(example shadowing shifts). Take responsibility for one or more aspects of a specialist function within the working environment, where appropriate, and in accordance with individual worker's skills. Work within a rota system, including unsociable hours as required Any other reasonable duties falling within the role of senior care assistant as delegated by the Registered Care Manager or Deputy Manager. To attend training sessions and regular team meetings To wear the uniform and identity badge at all times when on duty Keep all information about clients and their families secure and confidential in accordance with GDPR regulations Oncall duty on rota basis
It is your duty as a senior care assistant to provide care and support in the least intrusive way possible. All service users and their representatives should be treated with courtesy and in a professional manner.

As a senior carer you must be sensitive and responsive to the race, culture, religion, disability, gender and sexuality of the service users receiving care and their representatives.

Carers must carry out their job with the assistance of the service user not for the service user. This is an essential part of encouraging independence and motivation.

Carers must at all times adhere to the confidentiality policy. No nursing tasks are carried out by Future Living Care
