As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need. Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
Monitor and record clients' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff or management.
Help clients with mobility and physical exercises as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.
Support clients in social activities and outings, promoting engagement and interaction within the community.
Skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
Empathy and compassion for individuals requiring care, with a genuine desire to improve their quality of life.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant is essential; training will be provided.
Must have at least 3 years experience of working in a care setting, preferably within a Dementia setting and at least a year's experience of being a Senior Care Assistant.
Have a Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
Understanding of health and safety regulations related to care services is beneficial.
