Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have experience supervising staff while ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both residents and their families.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support. Develop and maintain individual care plans tailored to the needs of each resident. Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home. Maintain accurate records of resident care and any changes in their condition. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs and updates. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Administer Medication

Skills

Proven experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home environment. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with residents and colleagues. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that meet individual resident needs. Pay: Up to 13.30 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 44 per week
