We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team within a beautiful new care home specialising in person centred care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to supporting our residents. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals while working within a supportive and professional environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with relevant experience in supervising and delivering personalised care.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise care staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care tailored to individual needs Assist residents with daily activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals Monitor residents' health and well-being, recognising any changes that may require medical attention Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment Facilitate effective communication between residents, families, and the wider care team Support the organisation of activities that promote residents' social engagement and overall well-being Ensure adherence to health and safety policies within the care home setting

Qualifications



Proven experience in senior care or supervisory roles within a care home environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate team members Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Knowledge of care plans, regulatory requirements, and best practices in elderly care Competent IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation Experience in caring for older adults with diverse needs is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.60 per hour

Expected hours: 11 - 44 per week
