We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and meal preparation.
Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Contribute to the development and review of individual care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the specific needs of each resident.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to within the care home environment.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in senior care and IT systems relevant to care documentation.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
Knowledge of senior care practices and an understanding of care plans is essential.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care is advantageous.
