We are now looking for an
experienced Senior Care Assistant
to join our committed and compassionate team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and leading by example.
Role Summary
As a
Senior Care Assistant
, you will take a lead role in supporting the care team to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered. You will act as a role model, mentor junior staff, liaise with families and health professionals, and ensure that residents' individual needs are met with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and support the care team during shifts.
Deliver person-centred care in line with residents' individual care plans.
Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with policies.
Complete and maintain care documentation and records to CIW standards.
Support and mentor new or junior care staff.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and management teams.
Promote independence, dignity, and choice for all residents.
Respond promptly and professionally to any concerns or incidents.
Requirements
? Minimum
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care
(or equivalent).
? Minimum
2-3 years of experience
working in a residential or nursing home.
? Proven experience in a
Senior or Team Leader role
within a care setting.
? Excellent understanding of
CIW regulations
and person-centred care.
? Competent in medication administration and record-keeping.
? Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
? Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to high-quality care.
? Ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
? Right to work in the UK.
Desirable (but not essential)
Training in moving and handling, medication, and first aid.
Full UK driving licence.
