We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This role involves supervising junior staff and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and team members.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care.
Supervise and support junior staff, providing guidance and leadership to enhance team performance.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in Residential and Nursing care.
Administration of medication to residents.
Experience
Previous experience in a senior care role is essential, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
Familiarity with IT systems used for record keeping and communication within the care home setting is advantageous.
A genuine passion for working with Residents and enhancing their quality of life through compassionate care.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for this role.
