We are currently recruiting for a

Senior Night Carer

to join our care team. This is a key role focused on ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and dignity of our residents throughout the night, while providing leadership and support to the night staff.

About the Role

As a Senior Night Carer, you will lead the night shift team and provide high-quality, person-centred care. You will be responsible for ensuring that care plans are followed, residents are supported respectfully, and accurate documentation is maintained.

This role requires confidence, clear communication, and the ability to lead and work calmly and effectively during night hours.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the care team during night shifts Support residents with personal care and wellbeing needs Administer medication in line with care plans Monitor residents throughout the night and respond promptly to any issues Complete and maintain care records and nightly reports accurately Conduct regular checks and ensure health, safety, and cleanliness standards are upheld Support new and junior staff members during the night shift Communicate effectively with the day team to ensure continuity of care Participate in reviews, training, and competency checks as required
About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience in a care environment, ideally in a senior or night shift role Is confident in supervising and supporting a team Communicates clearly and professionally with colleagues, residents, and families Is organised, reliable, and able to work independently Has a calm and compassionate approach to care Holds or is working towards a relevant health and social care qualification Understands the importance of accurate record-keeping and person-centred care
