To work efficiently, conscientiously, safely, and to maintain high standard of care provision/delivery, supervising other staff and supporting management principles to include disciplinary and good practice.
Principle Responsibilities:
To contribute to the efficient operation of the Home.
To work as part of a team and give support to other staff, leading by example.
To contribute and participate in staff meetings/staff training.
To adhere to Home Policies and Procedures.
To observe the conditions of employment and Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe practice and guiding others.
To give support and guidance to new or junior staff or complete induction.
To enhance and promote the clients quality of life acting in their best interests.
To work under the supervision of the manager or nominated person in charge.
To be caring, sympathetic and tactful when dealing clients and relatives.
To assist clients with their personal care giving help in areas of bathing, washing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene and sanitary requirements.
To promote high physical and emotional care.
To assist in the formulation of care plans and reviews on individual clients.
To report and record relevant information, relaying any concerns to the relevant staff.
To take care of the Home, its contents and consider the appearance of the Home.
To consider economy, financial balance and stock control.
To ensure that the bedrooms and common facilities are clean and hygienic.
To treat the clients individually with respect and preserve dignity.
To promote good anti-discriminatory practice.20. To motivate and assist in supervision of other care workers.22. Refer clients to other professionals ie chiropody, optician or healthcare professionals.24. Organise fill up of dressings box and disposables in bedrooms, keep adequate stocks of inco wear and toiletries.26. To alert management as to rota gaps and safety issues, heading off potential problems.

25. To liaise with families and relatives maintaining relationships and informing management of concerns.
