Erwhir Care Home is small residential care home based in Carmarthen town.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a reputable care home. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care to seniors and possess strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals

- Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents

- Medication administration and all aspects of health and wellbeing

- Provide support with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation

- Supervise and mentor junior care staff

- Drive resident well-being through compassionate care and companionship

Experience:

- Previous experience in a senior care setting is preferred

- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team

- Understanding of the unique needs of seniors in a care home environment

- Registration with Social Care Wales is essential

- NVQ or QCF or Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or working towards a Level 3 is mandatory
