Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for providing personal care and support to seniors, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. Your leadership skills will be essential in supervising staff and collaborating with healthcare professionals to implement effective care plans.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure a high standard of care. Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and review individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel. Ensure the care home environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for all residents. Administer medication for residents Monitor care plans, audits, medication counts, booking in and ordering

Experience

Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills are crucial for effective interaction with residents and team members. Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide and motivate junior staff. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care. A genuine passion for working with elderly and enhancing their quality of life is essential.
