We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for supervising junior staff members and assisting in the development and implementation of individual care plans. You will be required to administer all prescribed medication to our residents. Your leadership skills will be essential in fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Duties
Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
Administer medications
Supervise and support junior care staff, ensuring they adhere to care standards and protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and review individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the wider care team to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Assist in training new staff members on best practices in senior care and organisational policies.
Drive initiatives that promote resident engagement and wellbeing within the care home environment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care setting.
Experience
Previous experience in a senior care role or similar position is highly desirable.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively.
Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to interact positively with residents, families, and colleagues.
A genuine passion for providing high-quality senior care, demonstrating empathy and patience at all times.
