We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in our care home. This role requires a proactive approach to supporting residents with their daily activities while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Ability to provide residents with medication, understand how the procedures around medication and its documentation
Supervise and support junior staff members, ensuring adherence to care standards.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and changes in their condition.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to provide updates on care plans.
Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance leadership skills.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Requirements
Previous experience in senior care or a related field is essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with residents and families.
Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
Experience in supervising staff or leading a team is essential.
Trained to give medication to residents is desirable
Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication is beneficial.
A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to seniors is crucial.
