Job Summary

Maesglas Care Home is situated in the village of Holt, Wrexham. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help and support your team to provide high-quality care and support to elderly individuals, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with residents to assist them with daily activities and promote their independence while fostering a warm and friendly environment.

Shift times: 19:45 to 08:00

Responsibilities

Monitor and record residents' health , update care plans and report any changes to managers or alert health professionals as necessary. Administer and record medication accurately.

Organise and supervise junior team members to ensure the highest standards of care are met. Liaise with families and health professionals in a clear and professional manner Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere. Adhere to all health and safety regulations as well as company policies.

Requirements

Previous experience in the care sector at a supervisory level. A genuine passion for working with the elderly and providing compassionate care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently when required. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. A relevant qualification in health or social care
