Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for staff queries or concerns during your shift. Promote a caring, relationship-centred environment that supports residents' physical, emotional, and social needs. Participate in day-to-day activities, encouraging independence and meaningful engagement. Monitor residents' health and report any changes promptly to senior management or nursing staff. Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with policies (if trained and authorised). Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential care records. Provide thorough shift handovers to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

Proven experience in a

Senior Care Assistant

within a care home or similar setting.

M

ust have NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care preferred. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. Compassionate, patient, and able to lead by example. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
