Senior Care Assistant

We are The Old Rectory a residential care service in Acle for older people, some of whom have dementia.
We are currently seeking a Senior Care Assistant who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to caring for older people, either through previous roles in social care or in a similar role.
You will be providing personal care to residents, as well as supporting them to take part in a wide range of daily living activities and promoting independence. The job will entail accurate record keeping and an enhanced DBS check will also be required.

If you have the right values for our organisation, you will be supported by a programme of continuous training and development. Ideally you will hold a Diploma in Health and Social Care or be happy to work towards one.
Training will be given to administer medication
This position is a full-time permanent role based on 42hrs to include Bank Holidays and Weekends. The shift pattern is 7.00am until 19.00pm.
Requirements:
A broad experience of working in a care environment,
You should ideally be qualified to NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Experience of staff supervision, staff rotas and administering medication would be an advantage
Good Knowledge of care plans and evaluations
Excellent communication and team working skills
Enthusiasm and a cheerful disposition are absolutely essential.
You will also have compassion and have genuine empathy for the residents ensuring we treat everyone with respect and dignity at all times.
