We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced
Senior Health Care Assistant
to join our compassionate care team. This is a hands-on leadership role that involves administering medication, overseeing the care team on shift, and delivering high-quality personal care and support to our residents.
We're looking for someone local who takes pride in delivering person-centred care and has a genuine passion for working in a supportive and homely environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed medication in line with policies and procedures
Lead, support and supervise the care team on shift
Deliver high standards of personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility assistance
Promote dignity, independence, and well-being for all residents
Carry out regular care plan reviews and update records accurately
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals
Ensure the home remains a safe and welcoming environment at all times
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or similar role in a health or social care setting
Medication administration experience is essential
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Compassionate, reliable, and respectful
Must be based locally or able to commute reliably
