We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. This role involves supervising junior staff and ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented, promoting a safe and supportive environment for all residents.
Duties
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and other staff members to ensure effective communication and care delivery.
Supervise and provide guidance to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Contribute to the development and review of individual care plans, ensuring that they meet the specific needs of each resident.
Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in administrative tasks as required.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in senior care.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a senior care or similar role is highly desirable.
Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising staff in a care home setting.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents and their families.
Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to care plans.
A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to seniors, demonstrating empathy and respect at all times.
Ability to drive may be beneficial for transporting residents or attending off-site appointments as needed.
