SureCare Skipton & Bingley are looking for an experienced and passionate
Senior Care Assistant
to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional, person-centred care and is ready to progress towards a
Team Leader
position.
You'll support clients across the local area with daily living, companionship, and personal care, ensuring each person receives high-quality, dignified support.
We're looking to build a
team of Senior Care Assistants
who can also
mentor and support those new to the field
. You'll often
start new care packages
, helping to establish routines and ensure high standards before
transitioning them to Junior Care Assistants

, so there are plenty of opportunities to work alongside others in the team.
Responsibilities
Deliver personal care and support tailored to individual needs
Assist with daily activities including meal preparation, light domestic duties, and medication prompting
Provide companionship and emotional support
Accompany clients to appointments or community activities
Support clients with mobility and promote independence
Help establish and lead new care packages before transitioning them to junior care assistants
Offer guidance and mentorship to newer members of the care team
Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and other professionals

Requirements
Minimum
2 years' experience
in the care sector (3+ years/ desirable exp for Team Leader development)*
Full UK driving licence
and access to a vehicle
Care Certificate
(or equivalent qualification)
Enhanced DBS check
Reliable, compassionate, and professional approach to care
Complete
flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
Available to start immediately
Desirable experience:
Enteral feeding (PEG / PEJ / NG tube), end-of-life care, bladder management and irrigation, stoma care, mental-health crisis support, wound and pressure-ulcer management, blood-glucose monitoring and insulin administration, oxygen therapy, dementia and delirium management, and complex moving and handling.

This position operates on an independent working basis, with flexible arrangements that will suit those providing care on a self-employed basis. We've also partnered with an accountant who can offer support and guidance for those setting up or managing their self-employment.

Pay: 15.50 per hour
