Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a care home in providing high-quality care to elderly residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior care, strong leadership skills, and the ability to supervise and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Review individual care plans for residents in line with their specific needs
- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of residents
- Provide personal care assistance such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and administer medication as prescribed
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Drive resident well-being by promoting independence and dignity
- Supervise care staff members and provide guidance when needed
Experience:
- Proven experience in senior care within a care home setting
- Ability to use IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and colleagues effectively
- Demonstrated ability in supervising staff and providing leadership in a care environment
