Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to provide high-quality support and care to residents in a long-term Dementia Care setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential care, with experience working with diverse populations, including those with the elderly and dementia. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting residents' well-being, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with Activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition, vital signs, and overall health status, documenting findings accurately. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals while adhering to safety protocols such as CPR and first aid procedures. Overseeing and managing a Team of five. Support residents' emotional well-being through compassionate communication, social engagement, and participation in recreational activities. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that address each resident's unique needs.

Skills

Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice support. Excellent caregiving skills combined with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional training in dementia or hospice care is advantageous. Pay: 12.50 per hour
