We are looking for an experienced Senior Carer for an initial period of 12 months to cover maternity leave (this may lead to long term for the right candidate)

we are situated on an excellent bus route, and we support with transport at weekends if out with bus times.
About You and The Role
You will support the Management Team in the overall running of the care home, and you will be able to provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for promoting residents participation, Health, wellbeing, and safety.
You will be confident in the day to day running of your shift, liaising with residents, colleagues, relatives and external professionals. You will be able to provide care and support to adults using residential care and have responsibility for co-ordinating the development and implementation of personal plans.
Ideally you will have SVQ level 3 Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards this. You must have at least 12 months experience in a senior carer position within a Care Home environment and be competent in the management and administration of medication and personal planning.
You will be required to become registered with SSSC on the correct part of the register within the required timescales and to maintain registration.
You will have a drive and willingness for personal development participating in internal and external training for your own continuous development.
You will have the ability to actively listen and be able to communicate effectively with others.
Most important of all you will be kind and thoughtful, with a positive attitude and a willingness to lead and motivate your team to work in the best interest of the residents and your colleagues at all times.
You must be able to work shifts including weekends on a rota basis.
The successful applicant will be required to have an enhanced disclosure check carried out.
