Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising junior staff and ensuring that care plans are implemented effectively.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Drive initiatives to improve the quality of care within the home. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills in senior care.

Experience

Previous experience in a senior care or similar role is essential. Strong IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members. Proven experience in supervising staff or leading a team is highly desirable. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for this role. A genuine passion for working with seniors and improving their quality of life is essential.
