Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Senior Care Assistant to join our team covering Ilkley, Keighley & Skipton. Based in our local community, this role is vital in delivering high-quality personal care and support that aligns with our mission to enhance our clients' well-being and independence.
Responsibilities
Ensure the highest possible levels of care provision are delivered and maintained at all times following all Right at Home policies and procedures
Support and contribute actively to the training, shadowing and supervision, including spot checks, of existing and new staff in all aspects of their work
Ensure a thorough knowledge, understanding and adherence to all company policies and procedures in line with CQC regulatory requirements
Liaise closely with the Registered Manager and the office team at all times, reporting any concerns, changes or difficulties regarding staff or clients
Participate and support team meetings and staff events to ensure the effective communication of business goals and objectives on a regular basis
Maintain clear, timely records such as communication sheets and MAR Charts, alerting the Registered Manager to any issues that may cause concern
Participate in the out of hours / on call services when required
Conduct Client and Carer introductions and familiarise the Carer with the client file and care plan
Continuously strive towards outstanding in every aspect of your role
Act on own initiative and exercise decision making skills, as far as possible and wherever appropriate
Building relationships with the clients and families to ensure we deliver personalised care
Qualifications & Experience
To hold a QCF level 3 in Adult Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards it
Minimum of two years 'experience of working within a health and social care setting
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Experience of promoting wellbeing through a positive attitude and work ethic
Ability to demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering excellent care
Able to demonstrate good organisational and leadership skills
Ability to supervise or lead care activities when required.
Valid driving license is highly desirable for client transportation.
Knowledge of care plans and procedures.
Compassionate attitude with a professional approach.
Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
Flexibility and reliability are essential qualities.
