Job Summary


The Senior Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to residents in a care home setting. This position involves working closely with individuals who require assistance with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The Senior Care Assistant will also be responsible for supervising junior staff and contributing to the development and implementation of personalised care plans.

Duties



Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support residents in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance. Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members. Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices in senior care. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to care. Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Participate in team meetings to discuss resident care strategies and improvements.

Skills



Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members. Experience in senior care or a related field is essential; knowledge of care home operations is advantageous. Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Leadership qualities to supervise and motivate junior staff effectively. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 13.10-14.00 per hour
