Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to senior care, and the ability to lead and supervise a team effectively. This role involves working closely with residents to ensure their comfort, dignity, and well-being while adhering to individual care plans.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Implement and monitor care plans tailored to each resident's needs, ensuring that all aspects of their care are met. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on resident progress and any concerns. Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance as needed to ensure high standards of care are maintained. Maintain accurate records of residents' health and wellbeing, using IT systems as required. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in senior care.

Experience

Previous experience in a senior care role or similar position is preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team effectively. preferred NVQ level 3 health and social care or working towards. Strong understanding of care plans and the needs of elderly individuals. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with residents and their families. Proficiency in IT systems related to healthcare documentation is advantageous.
