We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care within a reputable care home. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with previous supervisory experience in senior care settings.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise a team of Care Assistants, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times Assist residents with daily activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management in accordance with care plans Develop, review, and update individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members Foster a warm, respectful, and caring environment that promotes residents' independence and dignity Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to relevant healthcare providers promptly Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting professional development and teamwork Maintain accurate documentation of care activities using IT systems and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Support residents with social activities and encourage participation to enhance their quality of life Take part in compliance and quality assurance audits and tasks.

Requirements



Previous supervisory experience within a care home or senior care environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise confidently with residents, families, and healthcare professionals Knowledge of care plans, regulatory standards, quality assurance, risk management, and best practices in senior care Proficiency in IT systems utilised for documentation and reporting purposes Compassionate nature with a genuine commitment to providing high-quality care for older adults
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 13.59-13.94 per hour
