We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in a care home setting and possess strong leadership skills to supervise and support junior staff. This role involves creating and implementing care plans, ensuring the highest standards of care, and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and meal preparation.
Develop and maintain individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Ensure effective communication with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress using IT systems.
Promote a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.
Requirements
Previous experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home setting is essential.
Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Strong communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, and colleagues.
Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
