We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a drive to support senior care initiatives. This role involves working closely with residents to implement care plans, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Supervise and support junior staff members, providing guidance and leadership as needed. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care. Implement and monitor individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of residents' health status and any changes observed. Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance skills in senior care. Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.

Requirements

Previous experience in a healthcare or senior care setting is preferred. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead by example. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and staff. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation. A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
