Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team within a reputable care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and extensive experience in senior care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support to our residents. Duties



Provide personalised care to residents, supporting daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance Supervise and mentor junior care staff, fostering a supportive and professional environment Assist in developing and implementing individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities Ensure the safety and comfort of residents at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations Maintain accurate documentation related to care delivery and resident progress using IT systems Support residents with medication management as per prescribed care plans Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure holistic care provision

Requirements



Proven experience in senior or elderly care within a care home setting Supervising or leadership experience in a healthcare environment is highly desirable Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with residents, families, and colleagues Competence in using IT systems for documentation and care planning purposes Driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs if required Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs Compassionate nature with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst demonstrating leadership qualities

Digital Rota in place to access shifts 24/7.

Shifts available month's in advance. Request holidays and report sickness on app.

Rota hours: 8am-8pm, 8am-2pm, 2pm-8pm, 8pm-8am.

Must be able to work 2 weekends per month on rotation.

Must be available for Christmas Day and Bank Holidays every 2 years on rotation.

SVQ Level 3 with medication training experience essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract

Pay: 14.64 per hour

Expected hours: 22 - 33 per week
