Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for implementing care plans and supervising junior staff while ensuring that all residents receive the support they need.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support as necessary. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of resident progress and any changes in condition. Ensure that the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in senior care and IT systems used within the facility. Drive residents to appointments or outings as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.

Experience

Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential. Demonstrated ability to create and manage care plans effectively. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising staff preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for this role. Familiarity with IT systems used in healthcare settings is advantageous. A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential for all applicants.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: 13.43-16.80 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 48 per week
