GMD Community Services is Seeking to recruit a Compassionate and Dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our clients and ensure that all their care needs and requirements are being met by an organisation who's staff are fully qualified with a wealth of experience in their fields of expertise.
GMD Homecare is registered with the Care Inspectorate and has become one of the leading providers of Homecare in South Lanarkshire.
The Senior Care Assistant is an important role within the GMD Homecare team. You will lead, develop and support all new staff as well as our existing Care Assistants through your practice to provide the highest standards of care in the community, ensuring the dignity of the clients is maintained at all times. The Qualities that we are looking for in our senior staff include

To be able to demonstrate and share your knowledge with staff including new members of our team
To be able to reflect on your practice
If you do not hold your SVQ qualifications you will be required to take part in our next SVQ programme
In addition to your existing duties as a Care Assistant you will be required to take on the roles & responsibilities as a senior including:
Participating in the 'on call ' rota, (Once every six weeks)
Participate in emergency cover
Attend office, to complete/ update paperwork when required
Support & shadow staff members including new starts
Dispensing PPE and documents as and when needed
Ensure service is delivered in accordance with all relevant policies, procedures and
Practices
Attend induction, in-house training sessions and staff meetings when required
Attend reviews and assessments on Service Users when required.
Reporting any issues to the management team
Maintain the upkeep of clients files
Carry out duties as assigned by the Registered Manager
If you are interested in joining our team you will participate in an in-depth induction programme that includes training in Manual handling, Administering of medication, Adult protection, and infection control. New staff then go on to shadow experienced staff on shift; this allows staff
the time & opportunity to gain the correct experience, knowledge & understanding to deliver the
high quality of care that our clients deserve. All our staff are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
