Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and well-being. You will play an essential part in implementing care plans and assisting with daily activities while fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's requirements. Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance as needed. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and community spirit. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or senior care environment is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is advantageous. Demonstrated leadership abilities to supervise and motivate a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to seniors is essential.
